Jairampur is a town of immense historical and strategic importance, situated along the famous Stilwell Road (Ledo Road) that once connected India to China via Myanmar during World War II. The town is nestled in a valley surrounded by the Patkai hills and serves as a major trade point near the Indo- Myanmar border.
