Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden is a beautifully landscaped garden situated near Ranipool in East Sikkim. Established in 1987, it is managed by the Parks and Garden Unit of the Forest Department. It is situated at an altitude ranging from 1,800 to 2,200 meters, allowing for a diverse range of flora. The garden features a large greenhouse specifically for orchids, which are in full bloom during the spring. A peaceful lake is located within the premises, where visitors can enjoy paddle boating. The well-laid-out pathways are perfect for a leisurely stroll amidst nature. For families, there is a dedicated children’s play area with swings and slides.
