Namchi Helipad

Soreng, Sikkim, India
The Namchi Helipad is one of the most popular tourist spots in South Sikkim, offering a panoramic 360-degree view of the mountains. Though primarily a functional helipad for VIP movements and medical emergencies, it has evolved into a major sightseeing destination. It is situated on a plateau that overlooks the sprawling Namchi town and the Rangit Valley. On a clear day, the helipad provides a majestic view of Mount Kanchenjunga and the Darjeeling hills in the distance. The area around the helipad is beautifully landscaped with open spaces where tourists can relax and enjoy the cool mountain breeze. It is often the first stop for travelers visiting the famous Char Dham or Samdruptse Hill in Namchi.
