The area is protected by a strong iron fence to ensure the safety of visitors while they admire the sheer drop. On a clear day, one can see the winding roads and small villages far below. The cool breeze and the mist often rolling in make it a surreal experience. The site is part of the larger Nandi Hills complex, which was a strategic summer retreat for Tipu Sultan. Nearby, one can find the ruins of his summer palace and the Yoga Nandeeshwara temple. The atmosphere at Tippu's Drop is a mix of awe for nature's beauty and a somber reflection on the historical events that took place there.
