Sathodi Falls

Dandeli, Karnataka, India
Sathodi Falls is a breathtaking rectangular waterfall formed by several unnamed streams near the Kallaramane Ghat. It cascades from a height of 15 meters and joins the backwaters of the Kodasalli Dam. The falls are surrounded by dense evergreen forests of the Western Ghats, creating a serene atmosp here for nature lovers. It is often called the Mini Niagara due to its unique shape and the volume of water during the post-monsoon season. Visitors usually trek through a small forest trail to reach the base, where a natural swimming pool is formed by the falling water. The area is a part of the Ganeshgudi forest range and offers a perfect escape from urban chaos. The milky white water against the dark rocks and lush greenery provides a visual treat that is hard to match in the region.
