The sanctuary spans 35. 75 square kilometers of rugged terrain. The "architecture" of the forest involves distinct vertical strata, from the forest floor to the high canopy reaching heights of 30 meters to 40 meters. Small forest guard huts and watchtowers are constructed using local timber and bamboo, typically measuring 15 feet by 15 feet. These structures are designed to blend into the environment to minimize ecological impact. The boundary of the sanctuary is naturally demarcated by ridges and streams, with an elevation gradient of 900 meters between the lowest and highest points. -
