More importantly, its fame is tied to the trek required to reach it. The 5-kilometer downhill trek through the dense forest, often lined with ancient Deodar trees, is considered an essential Chakrata adventure. The promise of the stunning cascade and the refreshing pool at the end of the challenging trek draws thousands of adventure tourists, making the journey as famous as the destination itself. -

The rock composition is sedimentary, weathered over millennia to create the sheer drop.
The Circular Plunge Pool: At the base, the continuous force of the falling water has carved out a deep, wide, natural circular pool, which is the main attraction for bathers. The surrounding area is composed of large, slippery, moss-covered boulders and a small patch of flat forest floor, suitable for picnics. There is no human construction apart from a small seating area and basic kiosks, preserving its raw, untouched natural monument status. -
