Both regions share a maritime climate, ensuring pleasant sea breezes throughout the year. The region was a Portuguese colony for over 450 years before being liberated in December 1961. It was later separated from Goa in May 1987 to form a distinct Union Territory. Winter Season: The best time to visit Daman and Diu is from October to February. During these months, the weather is cool and pleasant, with temperatures ranging between 15°C and 25°C. This is the peak season for sightseeing, water sports, and attending the famous Festa De Diu festival.

Summer Season: From March to June, the climate is hot and humid, with temperatures reaching up to 35°C. While the heat can be intense during the day, the evenings are breezy and perfect for beach strolls. This is the off-season, so you can find great deals on hotels and fewer crowds at major spots.

Monsoon Season: The months of July to September bring heavy rainfall, which makes the landscape lush green and beautiful. While swimming in the sea is prohibited due to high tides, it is a great time for nature lovers to enjoy the scenic beauty. The Nariyal Purnima festival is a major highlight during the August monsoons.
