Structural Features: The temple consists of a garbhagriha (sanctum) and a mandapa (hall). It is raised on a low plinth (jagati). The exterior walls have only one band of sculptures, contrasting with the three bands on grander Khajuraho temples. The shikhara exhibits a highly detailed design, incorporating mini-spires (urushringas) that gradually ascend to the main amalaka (ribbed stone disc) and kalasha (finial). The interior is relatively simple but houses the main idol. The meticulous carving of the delicate figures, especially the Yakshis and celestial dancers, highlights the peak of the late Chandela sculptural art. -
