It is believed to be the p lace where Lord Vishnu killed the demon Bhasmasur, providing refuge to Lord Shiva in the Gupt Mahadev cave. The cave houses a large, naturally formed Shiva Lingam, which is the central object of worship. A continuous stream of water flows through the cave, adding to its sacred and mystical atmosphere.
