The Garjiya Devi Temple is a highly revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Garjiya Devi, a manifestation of Goddess Parvati. Its unique and picturesque location on a massive rock in the middle of the Kosi River makes it one of the most distinctive and visited religious sites near Jim Corbett Nat ional Park. The temple is especially crowded during the auspicious occasion of Kartik Purnima (November-December), when thousands of devotees throng to offer prayers and take a holy dip in the river. To reach the temple, devotees have to climb several steps and cross a narrow bridge over the flowing river, which adds to the spiritual journey and offers beautiful views of the river and the surrounding landscape.
