By Air: The nearest major airport is Patna (PAT) (approx. 170 KMS); from the airport, hire a pre-booked taxi or use a reliable cab service for the 3-4 hour drive to Sasaram city, and then take local transport to the hilltop's base; By Train: Arrive at Sasaram Junction Railway Station (SSM), which is highly convenient; the hill's base is only about 5 KMS away; By Road: Sasaram is well-connected via NH-2; from the city, hire an auto-rickshaw or a local taxi to the base of the hill near the Maa Tara Chandi Temple; the road is paved up to the base, and the rest is a climb on the steps; By Local Transport (From City) Shared auto-rickshaws frequently ply the route between Sasaram bus stand/railway station and the Maa Tara Chandi Temple base, from where the ascent begins; it is a short, affordable ride of about 15-20 minutes; a dedicated hired vehicle should be used if you require assistance with the climb or are traveling in a large group, negotiating a fair wait-and-return fare.
