How to Reach

By Air: To reach Dilily Falls, one must first fly to Imphal International Airport (IMF), about 90-100 kilometers from Ukhrul town, which is connected to major Indian cities. From the airport, hire a pre-paid taxi or take a bus to Ukhrul town (3-4 hours). The falls are located about 20-30 KMS from the town center, requiring onward local transport.

By Train: The nearest major railway junction is Dimapur Railway Station (DMV) in Nagaland, approximately 200-210 kilometers from Ukhrul. From Dimapur, a long, scenic taxi ride (7-9 hours) is required to reach Ukhrul town.

By Road: Ukhrul town is accessed by National Highway 150 (NH-150) from Imphal (83-85 KMS). State buses and shared Sumo taxis are the main means of transport between the two towns. From Ukhrul town, the base of the falls' trail (which is about 20-30 KMS away) must be reached by hiring a local taxi or private vehicle, as the location is typically remote, requiring travel on village roads that are often unpaved and can be quite rough for the final kilometers. The last part of the journey is a mandatory, often moderate-to-challenging trek on foot.

By Local Transport: Once in Ukhrul town, the best local transport option to reach the falls' trailhead is to hire a local taxi (a jeep or Sumo) for a dedicated return trip, negotiating the fare based on the waiting time. Public local transport will not reach the remote trailhead, and walking from the town is not feasible due to the distance and hilly terrain, making the private local hire the only practical option to ensure a safe, efficient, and direct journey to the start of the adventure trek.
