By Road (From Gangtok): The sanctuary entrance is about 25 KMS from Gangtok. Hire a private taxi from the city. Shared taxis are less frequent on this route. The drive takes about 1-1. 5 hours.
Access Point: The main entry point is near the village of Tintek, on the way to Rumtek Monastery. The road is motorable but can be challenging in the monsoon.
