Reaching from Distant Locations: The nearest and most convenient airport is the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU), located in Guwahati, approximately 40-45 KMS from Hajo. The Guwahati airport is a major hub for North-East India, with regular direct and connecting flights from all major Indian metropolitan cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Upon landing at GAU, you have several options to reach Hajo: 1.
Pre-paid Taxi/App Cab: Hire a pre-paid taxi or book an app-based cab (like Ola/Uber, if available) directly to the Hayagriva Madhava Temple in Hajo. The journey takes approximately 1. 5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic, especially while crossing the Brahmaputra River. 2.
