How To Reach Laipuitlang View Point

How to Reach

By Air:: The nearest airport is Lengpui Airport (AJL), located approximately 32 KM from Aizawl city center. From the airport, one can hire pre-paid taxis (easily available at the terminal) or use a shared airport shuttle service. The drive to the viewpoint in Laipuitlang takes about 1. 5 to 2 hours due to the winding hill roads.

By Train:: The nearest major rail head is Silchar Railway Station (SCL) in Assam, about 180 KM away. However, the closer, newly connected station is Sairang Railway Station, about 25 KM away. From Sairang, tourists must hire a local cab or take a shared taxi to reach Aizawl city, and then a local auto/taxi to the viewpoint. The train journey from Silchar is scenic but requires a long road transfer.

By Road:: Aizawl is well-connected by National Highway 54 (NH 54) from Silchar and National Highway 150 (NH 150) from Imphal. Daily bus services and shared SUMO/Bolero taxis run from Guwahati and Silchar to Aizawl. Once in Aizawl, Laipuitlang is easily reachable by road.

By Local Transport:: The viewpoint is conveniently accessed by local yellow-and-white taxis or auto-rickshaws from anywhere in the city center like Bara Bazaar or Chanmari. The fare from the city center should be negotiated but typically ranges from Rs. 80 to Rs. 150. Look for a shared local cab heading towards Laipuitlang Veng.
