How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport (IXB) in West Bengal, located approximately 140 KM from Pelling. From IXB, you can hire a private taxi, a pre-booked car, or take a shared cab to Pelling (4-5 hours journey). From Pelling, hire a dedicated local cab for the final leg to the Singshore Bridge (26 KM, about 1-1. 5 hours). Alternatively, the new Pakyong Airport (PYG) near Gangtok is closer but has limited flight connectivity; from PYG, the journey to Pelling is about 125 KM.

By Train: The nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in West Bengal, approximately 135 KM from Pelling. NJP is well-connected to major Indian cities. From NJP, you can take a shared jeep or bus to Jorethang, and then another shared taxi to Pelling. The total journey by road from NJP to Pelling takes about 5-6 hours. From Pelling, the final journey to the bridge is by a hired local vehicle.

By Road: The bridge is located about 26 KM from Pelling. From Gangtok (Sikkim's capital, approx. 130 KM), you can take a shared or private taxi to Pelling. The drive to Pelling is scenic and follows hilly roads. The route from Pelling to the bridge via the Pelling-Dentam Road is a single, winding mountain road that takes approximately 60-90 minutes by private taxi.

By Local Transport: The most convenient and practically the only way to reach the Singshore Bridge from Pelling is by hiring a private taxi (reserved for the day trip) or by negotiating a fare for a shared vehicle specifically going towards Dentam or Uttarey, but shared options are less frequent and drop you off far from the main road. The bridge is typically included in the West Sikkim sightseeing circuit, so hiring a dedicated cab for the circuit is the most efficient method. :
