How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, located about 25 km away. From the airport, you can take a pre-paid taxi or a cool-cab to reach Thane in about an hour, depending on the traffic.

By Train: Thane is a major railway junction on both the Central and Trans-Harbour lines of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. It is also a stop for almost all long-distance trains going towards Pune, Nashik, and southern India. It is extremely well-connected to all parts of Mumbai.

By Road: Thane is a gateway to Mumbai and is connected via the Eastern Express Highway and the Ghodbunder Road. Many state-run and private buses operate from all over Maharashtra. The city is also a major hub for the BEST and TMT bus services.

By Local Transport: Within the city, auto-rickshaws are the most common and convenient mode of transport. They run on meters and are easily available. The Thane Municipal Transport (TMT) buses also cover almost every part of the city and its outskirts at very affordable rates.
