After landing, you can take a pre-paid taxi directly to Vedaranyam or use the airport bus service to reach the main bus stand and catch a bus toward Nagapattinam. By Train: You can take a train to Nagapattinam Railway Station, which is about 48 KMS from the beach. From there, frequent buses and private taxis are available to take you to Vedaranyam. Most visitors find it easier to reach Nagapattinam or Thiruvarur and then continue by road to the beach, enjoying the coastal scenery that unfolds as you get closer to the shore.
