Kedarnath Temple

Dahod, Gujarat, India
The Kedarnath Temple in Dahod, also known as Devkedareshwar Mahadev, is a unique spiritual site located in a natural cave near the Kali Dam. Unlike the famous temple in the Himalayas, this temple is set within a rocky cavern where water naturally trickles down over the Shiva Lingam throughout the y ear. The entrance to the temple requires walking through a scenic path surrounded by trees and rocks. Inside the cave, the atmosphere is cool and meditative. The sound of water dripping from the "Gaumukh" (cow's mouth) structure inside the cave creates a rhythmic and soothing sound. It is believed to be an ancient site where sages meditated for centuries. The temple is a significant pilgrimage point for the local tribal community and residents of Dahod. The surrounding area is part of a forest zone, making the visit a blend of spiritual journey and nature exploration. It is one of the few cave temples in the region, making it very special.
