The architecture here is entirely geological: a vast, elongated basin spanning over 134 kilometers in length, formed by tectonic activity and glacial melt. There are no ancient man-made structures on its immediate banks.
Camp Structures: The only human construction is the numerous seasonal tourist tent camps in villages like Spangmik, Merak, and Man. These are non-permanent structures designed for high-altitude resilience, made of canvas tents and simple wooden or metal frames. The Line of Actual Control (LAC) While not visible, the invisible architectural/political line cutting through the lake is a key geographical feature.
Dimensions: The lake is approximately 5 km wide at its broadest point and 134 km long.
