A Palatial Complex: Purani Haveli, meaning 'Old Palace', is a large, sprawling palace complex that was originally the official residence of the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Mahbub Ali Khan. It was initially acquired and renovated by the second Nizam, Asaf Jah II, and later passed down. Though the n ame suggests 'old', the palace was extensively renovated in the 19th century, giving it a blend of traditional Indian and European architectural styles.
