Health & Safety: Spend at least 2 days in Leh for acclimatisation before travelling, as the altitude is very high. Carry basic medicines like Diamox for Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and a full first-aid kit. Drink plenty of water.

Packing: Carry heavy woollens, a windproof jacket, and a beanie, even in summer, as the mountain winds are very cold. Sunscreen and UV-protection sunglasses are mandatory.

Accommodation: Stay in Leh City as there are no official tourist accommodations near the Gurdwara. Nearby villages like Nimmu offer homestays.
