Weather And Best Time To Visit In Chitrashala
Weather and Best Time to Visit
Winter Season (October to March): This is unequivocally the best time to visit Bundi and the Chitrashala. The weather is cool and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 10?C to 25?C. This climate is ideal for the uphill walk to the palace and for spending time in the open-air pavilion. The air is clear, offering the best views from the top. November and February are particularly perfect, avoiding the coldest dip of December and January.
Summer Season (April to June): This is the least advisable time. The temperatures can soar above 40?C, making the outdoor exploration of the palace and the Chitrashala extremely challenging and exhausting. If you must visit, restrict your sightseeing to the very early morning hours (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) or late afternoon.
Monsoon Season (July to September): The monsoon brings moderate rainfall, which turns the surrounding Aravalli hills lush green, offering beautiful scenic backdrops. The temperature is lower than summer (around 24?C to 32?C), but humidity can be high. The rain might make the uphill climb a bit slippery, but the overall atmosphere is charming. The monsoon is also when the lake (Nawal Sagar) below is full.
Different Parts of the Day: As mentioned in timings, the best parts of the day are the early morning (08:00 AM ? 10:00 AM) for a peaceful experience and the late afternoon (04:00 PM ? 05:30 PM) for the golden hour light, which enhances the colors of the frescoes and provides spectacular sunset views.
