Weather And Best Time To Visit In Pandikuzhi
Weather and Best Time to Visit
Winter Season (October to February): This is widely considered the Best Time to Visit. The weather is pleasantly cool and dry, with daytime temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. The sky is generally clear, offering crisp, long-range views of the plains, which is ideal for photography. The trekking trails are dry and safe to navigate. This period is perfect for all-day outdoor activities.
Summer Season (March to May): The summer months are warmer, with temperatures occasionally rising above 30°C. While the mornings and evenings remain relatively pleasant, midday can be quite hot. The waterfall's flow may be reduced significantly. It's still a good time for a visit, but plan your trip for the early morning to avoid the heat.
Monsoon Season (June to September): The monsoon brings heavy rainfall to Thekkady. While the continuous rain can be a deterrent for general travel, this is when Pandikuzhi is at its most spectacular. The waterfall is full, the forest is intensely green, and the mist is thick. If you don't mind the rain and prioritize seeing the waterfall in its full glory, this is the time. However, trekking can be slippery and risky, and distant views are often obscured by clouds.
Different Parts of the Day Topic Heading: As mentioned in the timings section, the early morning (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM) is the most magical time, with soft light, cool air, and maximum tranquility. The late afternoon (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM) offers a beautiful sunset over the distant plains. Avoid the harsh light and heat of the midday hours.
