Arbuda Devi Temple

Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India
Arbuda Devi Details: Arbuda Devi Temple, also known as Adhar Devi, is one of the most revered spiritual sites in Rajasthan. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and is situated inside a natural cave on a high peak. To reach the sanctum, devotees must climb a challenging flight of 365 steps, whi ch is said to symbolize the days of the year. The name 'Adhar' comes from the belief that the 'Adhar' (lips) of Goddess Sati fell here. The inner sanctum is reached by crawling through a very narrow opening, which provides a unique and adventurous spiritual experience. The temple offers a panoramic view of the entire valley, making the climb worth the effort. It is considered a major Shakti Peeth by many followers. The atmosphere inside the cave is cool and filled with the scent of incense and the sound of bells. Pilgrims from all over India visit this temple to seek blessings for health and prosperity. The surrounding forest area adds a layer of tranquility and natural beauty to the pilgrimage.
