Bappanadu Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple is an ancient shrine located on the banks of the Shambhavi River in Mulki. This temple is unique because it was reportedly built by a Muslim merchant named Bappa Beary. According to legend, Bappa’s boat stopped in the river, and he heard a divine voice askin g him to build a temple for the Goddess.
