Dhanushkodi Beach (Beyond the Abandoned Town)

Beyond the abandoned town of Dhanushkodi, the land extends further into a narrow strip surrounded by the sea. This area offers a unique and somewhat surreal beach experience. On one side, you have the Bay of Bengal, often calmer, and on the other, the Indian Ocean, which can be more turbulent. Walk ing along this narrow stretch, with the sea on both sides, is a distinctive experience. You can see the remnants of sand dunes and the vast expanse of the ocean. The very tip is often referred to as the land's end. The isolation and the sound of the waves crashing on both shores create a powerful atmosphere. It's a place where you can truly feel the confluence of the two seas. While there are no facilities here, the raw natural beauty and the sense of being at the edge of the land make it a memorable visit. Be mindful of the tides and the conditions, as the area can be exposed.
