Dibru Saikhowa National Park
Dibru Saikhowa National Park is a unique biosphere reserve situated on the south bank of the Brahmaputra River. The Laika Gaon entry point is particularly famous because it provides a gateway to one of the most culturally and ecologically sensitive areas of the park. This park is renowned for its v ibrant grasslands, swamp forests, and deciduous forests that are submerged during the monsoon. One of the primary attractions here is the population of Feral Horses, descendants of horses left behind by the British after World War II, which have now become completely wild. The park is also a critical habitat for the White-winged Wood Duck and the Gangetic River Dolphin, which can often be spotted in the surrounding river channels.
