By Air: The nearest airport is Maharana Pratap Airport (UDR) in Udaipur, located approximately 115 KMs away. Upon arrival at Udaipur, one can hire a pre-paid taxi, a private cab, or take a state-run or private bus directly to Chittorgarh. The drive is scenic and takes around 2 to 3 hours.
By Train: Chittorgarh Junction (COR) is a major railway station, well-connected to key Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. From the railway station, the fort is about 6 KMs away. One can easily hire an auto-rickshaw or a local taxi to reach the Ram Pol entrance of the fort.
By Road: Chittorgarh is excellently connected by a network of National Highways (NH 27 and NH 48). Regular state-run and private bus services connect it to major cities in Rajasthan (like Udaipur, Jaipur, Kota) and neighboring states. Self-driving is a popular option, and one can drive up the hill road to the main parking area near the monuments within the fort complex.
By Local Transport: Once inside the fort, you can use local transport to cover the large distances between monuments. Shared autos or private taxis are available for a fixed circuit tour of the fort. Satbis Deori is easily reachable on foot, being centrally located near Fateh Prakash Palace and Kumbha Shyam Temple.
