By Train: The nearest major railway station is Chittorgarh Junction (COR), which is well-connected to major cities across India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. The station is approximately 2-3 kilometers from the base of the fort. Once at the station, tourists can hire a local auto-rickshaw or taxi to reach the fort's entrance (Ram Pol).
By Road: Chittorgarh is excellently connected by a network of National Highways, including NH 27 and NH 48. It has good bus connectivity (both state-run and private luxury buses) from nearby cities like Udaipur (approx 112 {KM}), Jaipur (approx 300 {KM}), and Kota (approx 175 {KM}). Visitors driving their own vehicles can easily reach the fort.
By Local Transport (Within Chittorgarh): From the city center or railway station, one can hire a three-wheeled auto-rickshaw to the fort's main gate (Ram Pol). Once inside the massive ext{700}-acre fort complex, the Jauhar Kund is quite a distance from the gate. Since the fort road is steep, an auto-rickshaw or a hired car is the best way to navigate the fort itself, stopping at key points like the kund, Vijay Stambh, and Padmini Palace. Walking the entire fort is possible but extremely arduous. 16
