It s a place to breathe the fresh mountain air and soak in the natural, unadulterated beauty of the Eastern Himalayas. The tranquility of the valley is often broken only by the sound of birds and the wind rustling through the pine trees.

How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport (IXB), located approximately 41 KMs from Kurseong. From the airport, you can hire a private taxi or take a shared cab directly to Kurseong town. The journey takes about 1. 5 to 2 hours. Once in Kurseong, you will need to hire a local taxi (like a small car or an SUV) for the final short stretch up to the viewpoint, as the last part of the road might be steep and narrow.

By Train: The nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP), about 43 KMs from Kurseong. From NJP, you can book a reserved taxi, take a shared jeep, or, for a more scenic and historical journey, take the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train) up to Kurseong Railway Station. The Toy Train is very slow but provides spectacular views. From the Kurseong station/taxi stand, hire a local vehicle for the short distance to the viewpoint.

By Road: Kurseong is well-connected by road to Siliguri (33 KMs), Darjeeling (30 KMs), and Kalimpong (68 KMs). You can drive your own vehicle, or hire a private or shared taxi/jeep. The most common routes are the Hill Cart Road (NH-110) or the Rohini Road. Once in Kurseong town, the viewpoint is a short drive of about 2-3 KMs on a local road. Always check the road conditions, especially during the monsoon season (June to September).

By Local Transport: From the main Kurseong market or taxi stand, you can hire a local cab or a jeep. Due to the short distance, you might also consider walking, which can take about 30-45 minutes uphill, providing a charming walk through the hill-side.
