Telaiya Dam

Engineering Marvel: Telaiya Dam was the first of the four multi-purpose dams included in the first phase of the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). Constructed across the Barakar River, it was inaugurated in 1953 by Jawaharlal Nehru. It is a concrete gravity dam designed for flood control and power g eneration.
