A Journey through the Wilderness: The trip to Rosemala is as much about the journey as it is about the destination. To reach the viewpoint, one must travel through 10 kilometers of dense forest trails, often requiring a sturdy 4-wheel drive vehicle or a long trek. Health & Safety: It is highly recommended to hire a local guide or use an official forest Jeep. Wild elephant encounters are possible, so never wander off the trail. Carry a basic first-aid kit and any personal medications you need.

Packing Essentials: Wear full-sleeved clothes and long trousers to protect against insects and leeches, especially during the rains. Carry plenty of drinking water and energy snacks as there are no shops at the viewpoint.

Cash & Connectivity: You must carry enough cash for the Jeep hire and entry fees before leaving Aryankavu. There is almost no mobile signal or Wi-Fi at the viewpoint, so prepare for a total digital detox during your visit.

Accommodation: There are no hotels at the viewpoint. You can find homestays in the Rosemala village for a rustic experience, or stay in the more developed tourist hubs of Thenmala or Punalur which are a few hours away.
