Weather And Best Time To Visit In Bhandardara
Weather and Best Time to Visit
Monsoon Season: From June to September, Bhandardara is at its most beautiful with heavy rains turning everything lush green and the waterfalls flowing at full capacity. This is the best time for those who enjoy the rainy weather and want to witness the dramatic transformation of the Western Ghats into a tropical paradise with clouds floating right through the village.
Winter Season: The months from October to February are ideal for trekking and camping as the weather is cool and the skies are clear. The nights can get quite chilly with temperatures dropping to 10°C which makes it perfect for sitting around a bonfire and enjoying the crisp mountain air and the brilliant display of stars over the silent lake.
Summer Season: March to May is the best time for the Fireflies Festival and for water-based activities like boating as the lake levels are still high. While the days can be warm, the proximity to the water and the elevation keep the temperatures lower than the surrounding plains which makes it a popular summer retreat for families looking to escape the city heat.
