Kolakham is a small village perched on a hilltop at an altitude of 6,100 feet, bordering the world-renowned Neora Valley National Park. It is a dream destination for those looking for absolute seclusion and a deep connection with the wild. The village overlooks the mighty Kanchenjunga and offers a unique vantage point from where the mountain seems almost at arm's length. By Air: Bagdogra Airport (IXB) is about 105 km away. A private taxi takes around 4. 5 hours to reach.

By Train: New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is the nearest station at 100 km. It is best to take a taxi directly to Kolakham as shared transport is rare.

By Road: From Siliguri, follow the route via Lava. The last 8 km from Lava to Kolakham is a rocky forest road requiring a high-clearance vehicle like a Bolero.

By Local Transport: Shared jeeps run from Siliguri to Lava. From Lava, you must hire a dedicated local 4x4 vehicle to reach the village.
