Lengpui Airport Road

Mamit, Mizoram, India
The Lengpui Airport Road is much more than a transport link; it is one of the most scenic driving routes in India. Stretching through the heart of the hills, this road connects the only airport in the state to the capital and the district of Mamit. The road winds through dense forests, over bridges spanning the Tlawng River, and past several scenic viewpoints. For travelers, this road is their first introduction to the emerald-green landscapes of Mizoram. Along the way, there are numerous picnic spots and small roadside stalls selling local fruits like passion fruit and dragon fruit. The engineering of the road itself is impressive, carving through steep terrains while maintaining a smooth surface. It is a favorite among local bikers and long-distance drivers for its sweeping curves and breathtaking vistas.
