Mizo Hlakungpui Mual
Tribute to Mizo Literature: This is a unique monument dedicated to the legendary poets of Mizoram. It was established in 1986 to honor those who shaped Mizo literature. The square is located on a peaceful hill overlooking the village of Khawbung. It features stone monuments of several famous writers and composers. Each monument tells the story of a poet's life and their works. It is considered a sacred place for students and lovers of Mizo art. The square is surrounded by an orchid garden and a small museum. Many of the poets' personal belongings are preserved in the museum. The initiative was taken by the local villagers of Khawbung. It is a symbol of the high regard Mizo people have for their culture. The site offers a panoramic view of the Myanmar hills in the distance. It is one of the most culturally significant sites in the entire state. Visiting this place is like walking through the history of Mizo thought.
