The Pensi La Pass is at an altitude of over 4,400 meters, so it is advisable to acclimatize in Kargil before proceeding. Wear warm clothes and carry water and snacks. The area is very remote, and there are no facilities, so be prepared. The views are stunning, but it is important to be careful and not get too close to the edge of the glacier or the cliffs.
