Donations: Donations for the maintenance of the complex are accepted but are purely voluntary. Given the high standards of upkeep, a modest donation is a thoughtful way to contribute to its preservation.
Fees for Services: If staying in the extensive accommodation facilities (Guest Houses/Bungalows) provided for pilgrims, there are charges for the stay, and the community meal (though often free as a gesture of hospitality) may sometimes be charged for non-pilgrims.
Dress Code: Strict adherence to the modest dress code is required for entry; not having appropriate attire (e. g. , covering head for women) might incur a small cost to purchase or rent a scarf/shawl from nearby shops.

Ideal Visit Time: Early Morning (before 9:00 AM) or Late Afternoon (4:00 PM onwards) are the best times. Late Afternoon is particularly appealing as the white Marble glows under the setting sun, and the atmosphere becomes spiritual with the commencement of evening prayers.
Best Season: Visit during the cool, dry Winter (November to February) for the most comfortable experience.
Avoid Peak Events: Avoid visiting during the major Urs Mubarak event if you prefer a less crowded experience, as the site will be packed with international pilgrims.

The style is heavily influenced by classical Mughal aesthetics, featuring symmetry, intricate geometric patterns, and delicate filigree work (jaali) in the marble screens.
Symmetry and Scale: The main Roza (mausoleum) is a symmetrical structure with a central dome and surrounding smaller domes/minarets, creating a sense of balance and grandeur. The original edifice was modestly built, but the entire complex was renovated and beautified in 1985 AD by the 52nd Dai al-Fatemi, Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb, carefully retaining the fundamental original design.
The Mawaid (Community Kitchen): The complex includes the colossal Evan-e-Hakimi community kitchen, designed in the Fatimid charitable tradition, capable of seating over a thousand people for meals (thaals) at once, across multiple levels. This functional architecture highlights the community-centric purpose of the entire campus.
