By Train: The nearest major railway stations are Polur (about 40 KMs from the hills) or Tiruvannamalai (TNM). From these stations, take a bus or hired taxi up the ghat road.
By Road: The hills are accessible via good ghat roads from towns like Polur and Chengam. From Tiruvannamalai city, it is a drive of about 2-3 hours to reach the main viewpoints and settlements. Direct state buses run from Tiruvannamalai to the main settlements in the hills.
By Local Transport: A hired car or a local government bus is the best way to travel up the winding ghat roads, as auto-rickshaws are impractical.
