How to Reach
Via Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur (UDR): Fly into Maharana Pratap Airport (UDR) in Udaipur, which is the primary air access point, approximately 175-180 Kms from Mount Abu. From the airport, a private taxi can be hired for the 3. 5 to 4 hour road journey to the town.
By Train:
Via Abu Road Railway Station (ABR): The closest railway connection is the Abu Road (ABR) Railway Station, located 28 Kms down the hill. ABR is a well-connected station on the Western Railway line. From Abu Road, local taxis (shared or private), buses, or pre-booked cabs are available to take you to the Mount Abu bus stand.
By Road:
Direct Drive to the Tank: Trevor's Tank is located approximately 5-6 Kms from the main town center, slightly off the road leading to Guru Shikhar. It is advisable to hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw from the main Mount Abu bus stand or Nakki Lake area to reach the tank directly, as it saves a long walk. Alternatively, if you have your own vehicle, you can drive directly to the park. The road branches off the main road and leads to a dedicated parking area near the entrance.
By Local Transport:
Taxi/Auto is Essential: Unlike Sunset Point or Toad Rock, which are centrally located and partly walkable, reaching Trevor's Tank requires some form of motorized transport from the town center due to the 5-6 Kms distance. Local auto-rickshaws and taxis are readily available in the town for a round trip. It's best to negotiate a return fare or an hourly rate, as local transport is not always available for an immediate return trip from the tank's entrance.
