Even if you are not staying, you can usually use the restaurant for a meal or snacks, which is a convenient option given the lack of other major eateries nearby. Try to sample local Nepali and Tibetan dishes served at the lodge.
Vehicle Management and Time: Since Deolo Hill is a significant distance from town, always hire a round-trip taxi and agree on a waiting time (e.g., 2-3 hours) and fare beforehand. Do not rely on finding a taxi for the return journey from the top, especially if you are leaving in the late afternoon. Start your journey from Kalimpong town very early if your priority is the sunrise view.
