Carry salt or a medical-grade deet spray to repel leeches. Hydrate constantly; even in winter, the air can be dehydrating during a trek.

Respect Wildlife: Never feed animals. Maintain a safe distance, especially from primates, and never make sudden loud noises.

Packing Essentials (Trekking Gear): Bring essential trekking gear, including a durable water bottle, a small backpack, a hat/cap, and a quality pair of binoculars for viewing distant birds and primates. Wear muted, earth-toned clothing (greens, browns) that blends into the environment to minimize disturbance to wildlife.
