Weather And Best Time To Visit In Lakshadweep
Weather and Best Time to Visit
Winter Season: From October to February, the weather is cool and pleasant with temperatures between 20°C and 30°C. This is the peak tourist season when all water sports and ships are fully operational. The sea is calm and the sky is clear, making it ideal for diving and sightseeing. It is the most comfortable time for outdoor exploration and long beach days. Booking in advance is necessary as this is the busiest time for the islands.
Summer Season: From March to May, it becomes slightly warmer with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°C. The water remains very calm, which is excellent for snorkeling and kayaking in the lagoons. It is a great time for those who love the sun and want to enjoy water activities. Resorts often offer better deals during these months compared to the peak winter season. The evenings are still quite pleasant with cool sea breezes blowing across the shore.
Monsoon Season: From June to September, the islands receive heavy rainfall and the sea becomes quite rough. Many ship services are suspended for tourists during this time for safety reasons. However, Agatti and Bangaram remain accessible via flights from the mainland of India. The islands turn incredibly green and look refreshed under the heavy tropical rains. It is a beautiful time for travelers who prefer a quiet, offbeat experience amidst nature.
