It is also famous as a rare example of a "show cave" in a hill station, where visitors can experience the thrill of going underground. The mystery of the "hidden passage" to the Shevaroy Temple keeps the local folklore alive and draws curious travelers. -

Th...Natural Caverns and Man-made Paths: The architecture of Bear's Cave is primarily a natural formation of "charnockite" boulders, which are characteristic of the Eastern Ghats. These massive rocks have settled over millennia to create a series of interconnected chambers. The main chamber is approximately 15 meters long, 6 meters wide, and reaches a height of 7 meters. The entrance is a narrow opening about 2. 5 meters wide, requiring visitors to stoop as they descend the 7-foot drop into the main floor. Over the years, man-made interventions have been added to facilitate tourism. This includes a paved stone walkway leading from the estate entrance to the cave mouth and a series of rough-hewn stone steps that allow for a safer descent into the lower chambers. The floor of the main chamber has been leveled in parts with packed earth and stone. The dimensions of the narrowest accessible passage are roughly 1. 5 meters by 1. 2 meters, providing a genuine "spelunking" experience. The cave's internal layout is a "rift" structure, where vertical cracks in the rock form the passages, cooled naturally by the surrounding thick earth and forest canopy. -
