Gurudwara Reru Sahib
History of Gurudwara Reru Sahib: This historical Gurdwara is associated with the tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It is located in village Rampur and marks the site where the Guru rested during his journey from Machhiwara towards Alamgir in December 1704. The Guru was being carried in a p alanquin (Manji) by his devoted followers, including Gani Khan and Nabi Khan. He stopped here to rest under a Reru tree (Mimosa leucophloea), which gives the Gurdwara its name. A local farmer named Bhara Mal served the Guru with fresh milk, and in return, the Guru blessed his family and lineage. Later, the site was developed by Sant Attar Singh Ji of Rampur, who spent many years here in meditation and built the modern structure. The Gurdwara is not just a place of worship but a center for spiritual awakening and education, maintaining a school for the blind and the poor. The sanctity of the original Reru tree is still preserved, and it remains a focal point for pilgrims who visit to seek blessings. The calm and rural setting of the Gurdwara adds to its spiritual charm, making it a place for deep reflection.
