By Road: Leh is reached via the Manali-Leh or Srinagar-Leh highways. Both routes are legendary for their scenery but involve crossing several high-altitude passes and take about 2 days.
By Local Transport: Within the city, you can hire local taxis, rent motorcycles, or use the small "City Bus" service. Walking is the best way to explore the main market and the old town areas.
