Nungba Village (on the Chandel side) is a strategic and picturesque settlement located in the southern reaches of the district. The village is inhabited by a mix of tribes, pred ominantly the Zou and Kuki communities, who have lived in harmony for generations. Unlike the more commercialized parts of the state, Nungba retains a very traditional and quiet atmosphere. How to Reach

By Air: Fly to Imphal; it is a 4-hour drive through some of the most scenic hill roads in Manipur.

By Train: The nearest station is Khongsang, but it requires a rugged road journey to reach the Chandel southern border.

By Road: Accessible via the state highways from Chandel or Churachandpur. A 4WD vehicle is highly recommended due to the hilly terrain.

By Local Transport: Private "Bolero" taxis are the most common way to reach Nungba from the Chandel district headquarters.
