By Train: No direct rail connectivity. The nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi (over 1000 KMS away), requiring a multi-day road journey or flight to Leh afterwards. By Road (Self-Drive/Taxi) The main route is Leh to Turtuk via Khardung La Pass and Diskit (Nubra Valley). It is a demanding 8-10 hour drive covering ~205 KMS. High ground clearance vehicles are highly recommended due to the challenging terrain. Private and shared taxis are available from Leh. By Local Transport (Bus) Limited state buses run from Leh to Turtuk (e. g. , once or twice a week). Daily buses run from Diskit to Turtuk in the afternoon (check schedules locally). :
